Support Groups



This group is for those who are past the daily struggle of their eating disorder and are navigating life and the areas of recovery beyond food, exercise, and body (such as job, relationships, family, finances, sex, etc). We explore health at every size, body liberation, anti-diet, weight stigma, and what it means to live an anti-eating disorder life. Peer support and mindfulness exercises will be used to foster recovery in a very safe and compassionate environment. Learning will continue outside of the meetings with recommended reading and journaling exercises.

Join Leah Ehinger, ASW, RYT for a group experience centered around mindfulness practices. Each group will be structured around the following topics:

Week 1: Somatics & body scanning
Week 2: The 3-part breath
Week 3: Movement & Nervous system practices
Week 4: Mindfulness & Creativity

This group is for people who are interested in deepening their mindfulness practices and connection to their bodies through movement, guided visualization, and journaling. By creating space for greater awareness, we can become more balanced with our emotions and better understand our behaviors.

Connection & Community – A Virtual Recovery Support Group

The intention of this group is to hold a space for conversation, peer support, and the sharing of tools that may foster a more fulfilling and sustainable self-care practice while in recovery. With the guidance of the group facilitator, other modes of connection may be brought in such as journaling, reading, movement, and meditation.

  • Time: Wednesday evenings, 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
  • Location: Virtual
  • Fee: $640 for 8 sessions

Healing from an eating disorder involves many facets, one being the relationship with your food while being in social settings. In addition to eating together virtually, we will process the experience and explore the important role of nutrition in your recovery through a variety of topics.

  • Time: Fridays, 12 pm – 1 pm
  • Location: Virtual
  • Fee: $50 per session, commitment of 4 sessions/month. Statements provided for insurance upon request.

FREE Recovery Support Group- Every Sunday from 1-2:30 PM at The Lotus Collaborative San Francisco

If you would like lunchtime meal support, please come at 12 Noon. While this is not a therapy group it is a supportive
environment in which to meet other people working towards recovery from their eating disorder, build relationships and practice recover skills. ** Please note that this group is open to the public and discussions may contain intense content not suitable for all audiences.
Lunch is supported by The Lotus Collaborative staff, and the support group is facilitated by a TLC therapist, RD or coach. Everyone working towards recovery is welcome, and we simply request an RSVP to 415-931-3731 or so that we know you are coming!
